Counselling and Psychotherapy in Wareham Dorchester Weymouth, and online

Welcome!

My name is Rob Bell-Cross. I am a psychotherapist, a counsellor and clinical supervisor with over 20 years of practical experience, based in Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset.

I am a fully registered, senior member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Until recently I have been the Director and Principal Counsellor of west London's largest counselling service.

As a therapist I see it as my role to encourage people to openly explore their lives, their experiences and their difficulties within a warm and supportive setting. I believe that it is through clarification of the way in which we live our lives, that we can best discover new possibilities and more rewarding ways of living. I work with a variety of issues, including: depression, loss, bereavement, anxiety, trauma, long-term health conditions, sexuality, difficulties in the workplace, as well as isolation and issues around low self-worth.

I also work with members of the Armed Forces and with the issues that may arise from this profession.

While this list is by no means comprehensive, the way in which each of us experiences our difficulties is unique. Psychotherapy provides us with an opportunity to become aware of exactly how we experience our difficulties in a personal sense and discover ways to overcome the challenges we face in our daily lives. You can find out more on how I work here.

I appreciate that it can often feel nerve-wracking contacting a therapist for the first time. However, if you email me I would be more than happy to answer any of your questions and you would be under no obligation to continue any further if what I offer doesn’t feel right for you. Should you choose to continue or find out more, you can call me on: 07780-573-159 or book in an initial appointment where we can meet and discuss why you are choosing to come to therapy and what your goals may be.

Coronavirus is dominating headlines globally

It is an anxiety-provoking and deeply unsettling time for many people.

  • You may be experiencing worry, anxiety and panic or feelings of helplessness;

  • You may also have withdrawn socially and are experiencing difficulties concentration and sleeping;

  • You may feel anger or have become hyper-vigilant about your body or your health in general.
Given the current circumstance it is not unusual to have such feelings, but you may be finding them difficult to deal with and could benefit from some support.

This is something I could help you with.

In addition to face-to-face, I am now also providing therapy/counselling online and via remote teleconferencing.

I see my clients at The Egdon Heath Practice on the Dorchester Road in Winfrith. The Centre is friendly, warm and professionally run, and within easy reach from Wareham, Dorchester, Weymouth and Poole:
